The present study was carried out to find out the water qualityof District Morena, (M.P.) It is an agrarian area, dependent on groundwater resources. Agricultural and industrial runoff heightens the vulnerability of groundwater to contamination. water quality index for different sampling stations was calculated for March 2024 to Feb. 2025. The results indicate that the water quality index ofmunicipal tap water is better in comparison tobore wells and hand pumps water samples. In the present study in municipal tap water quality of samling stations in Ambah and Porsa were found excellent and in all other sampling stations it was good. In hand pump and bore well water samples, water quality in Morena city, Ambah, Porsa and Jaura was found good, in Banmore it was poor and in Sabalgarh and Kailaras it was very poor.
